Energy efficient Solar and air heat pump systems for heating swimming pools in the UK and Spain
Heated swimming pools
Choosing a pool heating system
There are two ways we offer to heat your swimming pools. It depends on a number of factors primarily being the reasons you want to heat your pool and the space available with the right orientation.
Solar heated pools
These systems will extend the period that you can comfortably swim in your pool. They will not allow you to swim all year round, and will only increase the temperature in the pool dependant on the ambient temperature. The more panels you have the higher the increase in temperature. You will need an area of South, South West or South East facing area of at least 25-50% of the area of your swimming pool. The system will extend the swimming period between 4-6 weeks each side of the usual swimming time. These systems should be used with a suitable pool cover for optimum efficiency. Air heat pump pool systems
Air heat pumps offer the best flexibility and require little space to operate. These will, in an energy efficient manner, increase the temperature in the pool to a steady 28 degrees Celsius, or higher if required and can be turned of or on at any time, making them very flexible. This will allow comfortable pool usage at any time of the year and will cost as little as one Euro a day.
These systems typically save upto 80% of the power consumed by an electric heater. These systems should be used in conjunction with a suitable pool cover for optimum efficiency. Please click the link below for further information
